Project Manager

Enjoy working with clients, keeping projects running smoothly, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks? We’re looking for someone who brings structure and clarity to our digital projects. Sound like you? Then you might be the Project Manager we’re looking for.
About Optimeister
We’re Optimeister – a no-code agency based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. We help companies work smarter by building digital solutions with tools like Airtable and Make. Think internal tools, process automation, or integrating systems that don’t talk to each other.
No heavy software. No endless timelines. Just smart, custom-built solutions delivered in short, focused sprints.
We’re proud to be the first official Airtable Gold Partner in the Netherlands. We work closely with their team on larger projects in the midmarket and enterprise space. Teams at NPO, Hearst, Delta Fiber, Techleap, and GoodHabitz rely on us to streamline their processes, save time, and build smarter workflows.

About the role
Until now, project management has been a shared responsibility within our team. That’s worked well – our clients appreciate our speed and directness. But with more projects and bigger clients, it’s time for the next step: more structure, smoother coordination, and one clear point of contact for every client.
As our Project Manager, your job is to make sure our projects actually land – on time, with clear scope, and with happy clients. Our developers build the solution, you run the process around it. You keep the rhythm, guard priorities, and make sure everyone knows what’s next.
Of course, you won’t do this alone. You’ll work closely with our clients and team. You’ll lead meetings, follow up on action points, and make sure nothing gets stuck. You ask smart questions, pick up signals early, and help make sure the end result not only works, but gets used.

What you’ll be doing
- You lead project meetings like kickoffs, discovery sessions, sprint reviews, and go-lives
- You’re the client’s main point of contact and make sure agreements are followed through
- You help keep planning, scope, and priorities on track – and step in when things shift
- You make sure developers can stay focused without distractions or loose ends
- You monitor progress, catch issues early, and solve small blockers yourself
- You help clients test, give feedback, and adopt the solution smoothly
- You schedule evaluations to review what could be better and spot new opportunities
- You think about how we can improve the way we run projects – and make it happen
What we’re looking for
- You’re available for 32 to 40 hours per week
- You have 2–3 years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally in tech or IT
- You’re comfortable working with mid-sized or larger organisations and multiple stakeholders
- You speak and write fluent Dutch and English
- You’re confident running meetings and leading client conversations
- You’re structured, proactive, and keep a clear overview – even when things get busy
- You’re interested in tools like Airtable, Make, and AI (experience is a plus, not a must)
- You’re not afraid to say no when needed and always aim for long-term value
- You have an eye for detail, understand processes, and like to think in systems
What we offer
- A salary between €3.000 and €5.000 depending on your experience
- 25 vacation days (based on a 40-hour contract)
- Work for ambitious clients across different industries
- A key role in a young, fast-growing and professional team
- Lots of variety, ownership, and room to grow
- An informal, no-nonsense culture with short lines and a strong team spirit
- A dedicated workspace in our cozy Nijmegen office (with one day remote if you prefer)
- Quarterly team outings and a yearly team workation
- Travel allowance if you live more than 10km from the office
- A company MacBook
- A personal budget for training, events, or anything that helps you grow
- A place where your ideas matter – and where you help shape how we work

Sounds good?
At Optimeister, we’re building something special. Our team is still small, but the demand for what we do is growing fast. Thanks to strong partnerships and a growing client base, we expect to scale significantly in the coming months.
We work in a young, driven culture where everyone is encouraged to learn and grow. No strict 9-to-5 rules – just the freedom and responsibility to shape your own way of working. The kind of flexibility that fits a startup.
